From my earliest years, I have never doubted that anything is possible.
Asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I confidently replied (as only a precocious six year-old can), "A ballet teacher,
doctor, missionary who lives on a houseboat."
Today, 30 years later, I have lived
much of that dream and beyond!
I have been fortunate to perform for royalty, I have travelled and lived on sailboats,
worked in 3 countries on two continents, spoken at embassies at home and abroad, climbed mountains, paddled with
whales, and always lived with an abundance of joy.
Impossible wasn't then and isn't now in my vocabulary!
People
often ask me how it is I have accomplished so much and had so many rich experiences at such a young
age. I have always answered with this truth: "My Aunt Dot always told me to never say 'can't'."
I lost Aunt Dot when I was 6 years old but I never lost that lesson. I did those things because it simply
didn't cross my mind that I couldn't.
Beyond the Impossible
